Apprentice Scenes: August 13 and 20

Apprentice Scene, 2003

Although Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Singers are seen and heard on stage at nearly every performance, on two Sunday nights during August they take center stage. Apprentice Scenes feature apprentices performing as principals in fully staged and costumed scenes from the operatic repertory.

The evenings also showcase the talents of Apprentice Technicians who design and execute all aspects of the scenes. The success of the Apprentice Program for Technicians can be gauged by the number of participants who are now directors, designers, managers, and administrators of ballet, dance, television, and film companies around the world.

In 2008, tickets for the Apprentice Scenes will be sold in advance with assigned seats, rather than as general admission, so please order your tickets early to ensure you receive the seating section of your choice. The Apprentice Scenes take place on Sunday, August 10 and Sunday, August 17, beginning at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 17.
