Apprentice Regional Tour

Each year The Santa Fe Opera takes its act on the road. This spring, soprano Jamie-Rose Guarrine and baritone Andrew Darling, along with music director Kirt Pavitt, will give 35 performances of Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Telephone for school children. There are also 13 free public concerts with an “All American” program of songs from composers Aaron Copland to George Gershwin.

The tour is one of the Opera’s most popular outreach programs and covers a large regional area from Westcliffe, Colorado to El Paso, Texas. In total, more than 18,000 audience members are expected to enjoy a Spring Opera Tour performance this season.
