Concerts & Performances
Community Concerts
The Opera's Community Concerts are free and are held in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and neighboring communities during the summer. Each performance features talented members of our Apprentice Program for Singers, performing a wide-ranging repertory of arias, songs of the season, musical theater selections, and sacred music. No reservations are necessary and open seating begins 30 minutes before the concert. Please check back in May 2012 for dates and locations. spring opera tour
Each year The Santa Fe Opera takes its act on the road! This spring our singers are touring 12 cities in New Mexico and Texas, offering 22 performances for school children along with 9 free public concerts. An average of 18,000 audience members enjoy the Spring Opera Tour each year.
This past spring's performances included a delightful work, titled Words and Music which explored the relationship of words and music in creating an opera. Recent Santa Fe Opera apprentices, soprano Ashley Logan and bass-baritone Alan Dunbar, were the featured singers in this year's concerts.
