Concerts & Performances

Spring Tour

Community Concerts & PerformancesEach year The Santa Fe Opera takes its act on the road! This spring our singers toured cities in New Mexico and Texas, offering over performances for school children along with free public concerts in Albuquerque, El Paso, TX, Las Vegas (NM), Lubbock, TX, Moriarty, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, Socorro, and Tucumcari. An average of 12,000 audience members enjoy the Spring Opera Tour each year.

This spring's performances included a delightful work, titled Avastar which explored the relationship of two young singers who enter an online singing competition. Former Santa Fe Opera apprentices, soprano Sara Heaton, and tenor Joshua Dennis, were the featured singers in this year's concerts.
