Intermezzo is a group of young professionals between the ages of twenty-five and forty-five, who share an interest in discovering and exploring the world of opera. Intermezzo (IZO for short), hosts social activities, as well as educational experiences, to broaden members' knowledge and appreciation of opera. IZO's members receive discounted opera tickets and invitations to IZO and Santa Fe Opera events.

Intermezzo's 2008 Nights at The
Santa Fe Opera include:

  • Verdi, Falstaff, July 5
  • Britten, Billy Budd, July 12
  • Mozart, The Marriage of Figaro, July 18
  • Saariaho, Adriana Mater, August 8
  • Handel, Radamisto, August 15
Other 2008 events will include:

  • Tailgating Party Before an Opera
  • Albuquerque Event
  • Access/Behind-the-Scenes Events
  • Holiday Social Event

The Santa Fe Opera is pleased to be part of Opera America's "Young Friends of Opera" Program designed to encourage travel to see and hear opera across the country.
