Opening Weekend Celebration

Meet the Artists of the 2016 Season!

Sumptuous meals, great performances and the jovial company of new and long-time friends are the hallmarks of this weekend celebrating the opening of the 2016 season.  You have the unique opportunity to meet and interact with world-renowned designers, directors and singers at the opening night dinner.  Saturday's activities include a behind-the-secnes tour of the Crosby Theatre followed by an informal luncheon.  That evening everyone attends dinner in a private home before the performance.  Enjoy two nights of glorious music in the best seats in the house for both La Fanciulla de West and Don Giovanni.  Conclude the weekend's festivities at Sunday brunch with artists and their families in the scenic gardens of the Matteucci Galleries.

FRIDAY, JUly 1

OPENING NIGHT DINNER
A festive opening night celebration with Director Richard Jones and members of the creative team of La Fanciulla del West.  O'Shaughnessy Hall.  Black Tie.

PUCCINI'S LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST
Patricia Racette makes her role debut as he high-spirited Minnie, and tenor Gwyn Hughes-Jones is the outlaw Dick Johnson.  The Crosby Theatre.

SATURDAY, JUly 2

BACKSTAGE TOUR & LUNCH
This unique unique behind-the-scenes experience changes every season!  It includes members of the production team: stage management, props and lighting, followed by lunch in the Scene Shop.  The Crosby Theatre  Casual Dress

PRIVATE HOME DINNER 
An intimate dinner in one of Santa Fe's most beautiful homes with artists and creative team members from this season's productions. Locations to be announced.

MOZART'S DON GIOVANNI 
Baritone Daniel Okulitch sings the title role, with Leah Crocetto as Donna Anna and Isabel Leonard as Donna Elvira.  Ron Daniels makes his directorial debut. The Crosby Theatre  Black Tie or Festive Dress

SUNDAY, JUly 3

FINALE BRUNCH
With Santa Fe Opera artists and their families.  Nedra Matteucci Galleries  Casual Dress
