Gala Opening Celebration
Our Gala Opening Celebration is a fun, festive way to celebrate the opening of the Opera’s 2010 Festival Season. It's a time to renew old friendships and forge new ones; a chance to dine and dance far into the night and discover historic hidden areas of Santa Fe over dinner in a private home. You'll meet some of today's finest performers in a relaxed and gracious setting. Plus of course, have an opportunity to take in two unforgettable evenings of opera under the starlit skies of Santa Fe.
Step out in style on Thursday, July 1, at Encantado Resort beginning with cocktails followed by a fabulous feast, apprentices singing party songs and dancing in the courtyard. Or, just join in a bit later for dancing and scrumptious desserts.
Friday, July 2, begins with gracious hosts serving dinner in their wonderful Santa Fe homes and then it is off to the Theatre for the opening night of Puccini’s well-loved Madame Butterfly.
Feast upon a unique “Insider’s Lunch” on Saturday, July 3, in the Opera’s Scene Shop. That evening raise a glass by the pool with the production's Creative Team, Production Underwriters and other Gala attendees before dinner is served at the Dapples Cantina. The opening performance of Mozart's incomparable The Magic Flute is the perfect way to end this day.
A finale brunch among secret sculpture gardens at Nedra Matteucci Galleries on Sunday, July 4 allows you to meet artists of the season, swap stories of Gala adventures with newfound friends, and plan your return in 2011!

Bronze $325 per person ($53 tax-deductible)
Thursday Dessert and Dancing, plus Friday's Madame Butterfly (Section 3 seating)
or $300 per person ($28 tax-deductible) for groups of six or more
