See the administrative inner workings of The Santa Fe Opera
With positions ranging from Development to Marketing to Community Engagement, our Internship Program offers a breadth of experience for the aspiring arts administrator. Past interns have gone on to major positions at other opera companies and arts organizations, including Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Houston Grand Opera, and Juilliard. Some have even come back to The Santa Fe Opera as full-time employees!

In most internships, some weekend and evening hours may be required.

Compensation varies with the experience of the applicant.

All interns receive an hourly wage with overtime (where applicable) and assistance with long-distance travel to and from Santa Fe.

Intern housing is provided and partially subsidized by the Opera.

Seasonal Positions: General
General seasonal employees are responsible for all the off-stage magic and include positions in the Box Office, Opera Shop, Front of House and more.
Year-Round Positions
There are approximately 70 staff members working around the year in a variety of areas—from production, marketing, and fundraising to technical, administrative, and maintenance of the Opera's beautiful grounds.
