The Santa Fe Opera is now accepting applications for the position of Associate Production & Facilities Director. The Santa Fe Opera is a non-profit summer opera festival located in the high desert mountains, and is an open-air venue at an altitude of 7000 feet.  The annual budget is approximately $23M.  The company is primarily self-producing, with all production and rehearsal facilities on site.  In addition to producing opera there is a growing program of renting and co-producing nationally and internationally in which this position participates.


The Associate Production & Facilities Director helps to supervise all aspects of production operations of a festival repertory season of 5 operas and managing of an international rental and co-production operation and all other projects as they relate to the production department. This position also involves assisting in the supervision of the extensive facilities and capital projects. The successful candidate should exhibit experience with theatre safety, supervising a full time as well as seasonal staff, collaborating with creative teams as well as other departments. Strong skills required in budgeting and fiscal management, and personnel management.  This position also requires travel. Physical requirements include moderate work with lifting or moving of up to 40 pounds occasionally, occasional climbing and work from ladders and standing for long periods of time . The position requires ability to use computer equipment, manual dexterity, and the ability to communicate verbally and in written word. This position requires long hours and a flexible work schedule.


This is a full-time, year round position based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Pay is salaried with benefits including health, dental, vision, and paid vacation. Must provide documentation proving eligibility to work in the United States.
