Auditions will be held in Stieren Orchestra Hall at the Santa Fe Opera, Santa Fe, NM
Section Cello
Saturday, August 16, 2025 – All rounds
Section Violin – 2 positions
Monday, August 18, 2025 – All rounds
Section Violin can include Violin 1 and Violin 2
Requirements & Application Details
Resume Due Date: Received no later than Monday, June 9, 2025.
Resumes received after the deadline will not be considered.
Email a one-page PDF resume to: auditions@santafeopera.org (include Section Cello or Section Violin in subject line)
- Winning candidate must show proof of eligibility to work in the United States and be available for the entire 10-week season each summer
- Invited candidates will be notified by July 5, 2025
- No recording devices or cell phones permitted in the audition room
- The Santa Fe Opera tunes to A=440
Employment Details
2026 Season: 10-week summer season
2026: June 22 – August 29, 2026
Minimum weekly salary: $1,842.75
Season per diem: $7,051.80
Travel allowance (based on zone): from $240 – $1,504.50
