Jennifer Rhodes is a scholar and translator whose work explores the relationship between text, music, and the visual arts. She holds a PhD in Italian and Comparative Literature, and her current book project traces the influence of opera on the modern novel. Jennifer’s history at The Santa Fe Opera has been instrumental in shaping her research. She began as a technical apprentice in 1998, and since 2000, she has been a member of the opera’s titles department, where she runs the title system for repertory productions and writes titles for the annual Apprentice Scenes. She also serves as titlist for the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival’s vocal series. Jennifer is a faculty member at Columbia University, where she teaches literature and experimental arts.
