The Santa Fe Opera Invites the Community to Attend Costume Sale on March 11

Santa Fe, NM — The Santa Fe Opera will host a costume sale on Saturday, March 11 in Stieren Orchestra Hall at the Santa Fe Opera located at 301 Opera Drive. This beloved community event features the sale of costumes, fabrics, and accessories including hats, masks, shoes and more from past company productions, ranging in style from Baroque to Contemporary, all priced to sell. Event entry is free. To enhance the shopping experience, reservations for specific entry times between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm are required at www.santafeopera.org/whats-on/costume-sale. The final hour of the day, 3:30 to 4:30 pm, is first come, first served. Everything must go for the opera to make space for 2023 Season costumes.

A by invitation, early-access sale will be held on Friday, March 10 for local theater groups, other arts organizations and nonprofits. Costume Director Blair Gulledge says, “We are excited to host this event for our community. Not only do these groups benefit from having access to these carefully crafted garments, we’re also reducing waste and making much-needed space. There will still be plenty of treasures for the public to discover on Saturday — from one-of-a-kind couture to this year’s Halloween costume, there’s something for everyone. We hope you will join us!”

What: The Santa Fe Opera Costume Sale.

When: Saturday, March 11 from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Event entry is free, however, reservations for specific entry times between 9:30 am and 2:30 pm are required at www.santafeopera.org/whats-on/costume-sale. Due to limited space, each shopper will have one hour. The final hour of the day, 3:30 to 4:30 pm, is first come, first served.

Where: Stieren Orchestra Hall at the Santa Fe Opera, 301 Opera Drive, Santa Fe, NM 87506

How: Please plan to arrive and exit via the South gate from Opera Drive. Park in the upper theater parking lot and follow instructions to Stieren Orchestra Hall. Attendees will need their own shopping bag for purchases. No food or drink in the sale area. Please notify the Box Office by 4:30 pm on Friday, March 10 if you cannot make your reservation.

Payment: Cash or card will be gratefully accepted. No checks, please.

Health & Safety: Masks are encouraged. Individuals requiring an accessible entrance will be directed to park in the Stieren Orchestra Parking lot.
