Renard 1962
A moralizing, burlesque farmyard fairy tale…
…of a devious fox who deceives a number of other animals.
(presented on a triple-bill with Mavra and Le Rossignol)
Synopsis
A Burlesque in Song and Dance
The action is danced out onstage, while singers tell the story from the orchestra pit. In two parallel scenes, the same episode is repeated: the Fox manages to fool the Cock, but the Cock is rescued by the Cat and the Goat. They celebrate their triumph, and at the end the Fox is killed.
